8Bar Bike lights up the night
Tuesday, 29 January 2013 |
A German company has created a bicycle that glows in the dark.
The frame and rims are coated with a photoluminescent paint that absorbs light during the day and emits it in the dark – just like the hands of a watch.
The 8Bar Bike needs to be stored in a well-lit area and the glowing effect diminishes over time. It is also a fixed-gear model, perfect for hipsters and trendier suburbs.
Why not design something similar for the Australian market?
If a hipster-friendly bike doesn’t sound like your forte, perhaps you could create a glow-in-the-dark mountain bike for outdoorsy types.
