Subscribe to this comment's feedMentioned here are customers, suppliers and staff. PEOPLE. Training is paramount in this process and yes you must do something different from the others. But dont underestimate the power of YOU and your PEOPLE. Many business owners spend hours trying to determine how they are or could be different from the other suppliers. But the owner and their values and focus is guaranteed to be different from everyone else automatically.
Focus on that, develop it, understand it, share it and deliver it. Everyone focusses on being better at customer service or having a better product, therefore everyone is doing the SAME. Dont look outside to be different, look inside. Being different and successful is not about what you HAVE different from others, its about how you ARE different from others. Remember if something brand new - never seen before comes to the market, they say you have generally 6 months before it is COPIED, made cheaper, faster, brighter and distributed around the world.
