A California-based start-up called Wallaby Financial has created the Wallaby Card, described as “a smarter way to pay”.

“If you’re sick of trying to keep track of the complicated rules for cash back, miles, points or merchant discounts on your rewards credit cards, let Wallaby maximise your savings,” Wallaby Financial says on its website.

The Wallaby Card is a cloud-based digital wallet that stores information about each user’s existing credit cards and automatically picks the best card to charge in each transaction, based on the user’s preferences.

“At Wallaby Financial, our only interest is in helping you save more money and earn more rewards. We want you to be empowered to swipe smarter,” it says.

As payment platforms and options continue to diversify, perhaps you can develop your own technology.
