Although much of Australia’s wealth remains wedded to traditional industries such as mining and property, there are promising signs that new innovation is starting to pay off.

 

This week’s BRW Young Rich List, for example, demonstrates the growing rewards for young entrepreneurs in the technology space. Games, software and online retail are generating fortunes that would seem unfeasible just a few years ago.

So what can this next generation of wealthy business leaders teach start-ups? Today, we’ve picked out the five essential rich list lessons you should heed.
