A damning report released last week showed that around half of all business grant recipients in Victoria haven’t met the grant criteria in their applications.

Despite this apparent shoddiness, it remains hard for start-ups anywhere to secure a grant at state or federal level, not least because of the time and effort spent over the required paperwork.

Later on today, we are holding a free webinar with Adrian Spencer of GrantReady on how you can increase your chances of landing a grant.

In the meantime, make sure you check out our list of the top 10 grants suited for start-ups.

Elsewhere, online entrepreneur Dean Ramler weighs up the benefits of selling via the web compared to a traditional store and we have news on why many female entrepreneurs are struggling to pay themselves a wage.
