Finding Businesses for Graduate Mentoring Program
I am running a small business that helps graduates launch their careers by helping them with finding internships/Work placement with Small to medium businesses. I have started last year and response from businesses have been good and had good outcomes from them for both students and businesses.
I just need to spread the word and go to the next level.
There is no Cost from us for the recruitment Process.
Internships can be either paid or unpaid.
Unpaid internships are simply for the benefit of the students and need a supervisor/mentor and a training plan to ensure the intern benefits from the internship.
Paid internships are paid at a minimum wage and a great way to fulfil immediate resource requirements.
This is a win-win situation for both the companies and it’s a great way to fulfil immediate resource requirements and also identify future employees.
How do I spread the word and get more companies to take part in this?
Your ideas and comments are most welcome.
I think you need to look at your value proposition. Your customer is the sme employer. We are time short and while we would love to help kids get careers we spend our days thinking about new products, old customers, making a profit and how the hell to retain our staff.
Work out the benefit to the sme of taking on the graudate, then combine it with the feel good of helping them start a career. Get that value proposition right and then work on your marketing.
