Golden-i computer headset has Robocop qualities

A “Robocop” headset lets police see through walls and identify suspects just by looking at them.


The Golden-i computer headset – which is similar to Google’s Glass project – includes infrared technology to make walls transparent, while voice commands and head movements give hands-free access to vital information.


The Police Pro application provides video feeds for spotting suspects and viewing maps of buildings they are investigating.


It identifies suspects using biometrics and scans number plates when officers look at them. UK experts are tailoring software for police, firefighters and paramedics.
