Red line warning keeps revellers safe

While this idea is far from cute, it’s certainly a good one set for big sales thanks to its ability to make nights out safer.


These clever cups can detect ‘roofies’ (also known as rohypnol), the notorious date rape drug. Red lines run up the clear cup when the drug is present, sending a clear warning sign to drinkers.


It’s the kind of product that could be bought on bulk by bars and clubs. Given the public safety aspect of the product, it’s the kind of product that could be bought en masse by government funding or subsidies.
