ITHow to remove HomeGroup feature in Windows 7By Patrick Stafford
First you need to open Windows Explorer, right-click on the HomeGroup name in the navigation windows and then click on change HomeGroup settings.
When the window opens, there is an option to “leave the HomeGroup”. Clicking on this and then following the next few prompts will allow you to leave the HomeGroup.
Then you need to go to the Start menu and type “services.msc” into the search box. Then you need to click on HomeGroup Listener in the list, and then double-click. You can then disable the start-up type, and then press “stop” to stop the service altogether. You should do the same to the HomeGroup Provider as well. This will remove HomeGroup from the navigation window in Windows Explorer.
