If you’ve ever wanted to protect your documents when someone’s looking over your shoulder, then minimising them to the taskbar is a good idea. But did you know you can also lock these and prevent others from opening them?

 

First, you need to download LockThis, which is available here. Then, it should appear in the bottom of the screen. You’ll need to right-click the LockThis icon.

 

When you first access the admin panel, you’ll need to use the password “LockThis!” Once there, you can change the password to whatever you want.

 

After that, all you need to do to protect your documents is make sure you hold down the Ctrl key whenever you minimise a window. When you do that, the LockThis icon will appear, keeping your documents protected.
