Some of the best Chrome extensions

Tech TrickMany businesses are attracted to Google Chrome because of its simplicity – it gives the user a large amount of screen space and disposes with the bells and whistles.

But users are also taking advantage of the multitude of extensions available on Chrome, allowing them to check email, files and even watch media files within the browser itself.

Here are some of the best Chrome extensions:

  • Google Mail Checker – You may be using Microsoft Outlook but Gmail is still great as a free alternative. This extension allows you to see how many unread messages you have right in the browser, and notifies you when a new one comes in.
  • Downloads – If you’re regularly downloading files then this is the extension for you. All it does is add a downloads shortcut to the browser so you can instantly click and see what files you’re grabbing.
  • IE Tab – Those users still not used to Chrome after using Internet Explorer should give this a try. It emulates the Internet Explorer interface and makes Chrome look exactly like Microsoft’s classic browser.
