Create labels in Gmail

By Patrick Stafford

tech-tricksIf you’re using Gmail as your primary email client then you’re probably dealing with thousands of email messages. Leaving them uncategorised is probably adding to your troubles.

Thankfully, there's an easy way to put “labels” on your Gmail messages to make them easier to organise.

To add a label, select a message, and then hit the label-shaped icon at the top of the screen. Select “create new”, and then type the label you want.

Once you’ve made a few different labels, you’ll be able to select each one on the left-hand side of the screen, showing you all the messages categorised under that label.
