{"id":32046,"date":"2023-10-20T14:26:50","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T14:26:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/startupsmart.test\/2023\/10\/20\/spring-it-on-festival-celebrates-all-things-startup-startupsmart\/"},"modified":"2023-10-20T14:26:50","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T14:26:50","slug":"spring-it-on-festival-celebrates-all-things-startup-startupsmart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/uncategorized\/spring-it-on-festival-celebrates-all-things-startup-startupsmart\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring it on \u2013 festival celebrates all things startup &#8211; StartupSmart"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"442\" height=\"352\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/l_springboots_445.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"l_springboots_445\"\/><\/div>\n<p><b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/startupaus.org\/startupSpring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Startup Spring<\/a>, a three-week nationwide festival aiming to get Australians interested in startups and entrepreneurialism, will be returning for a third year in September.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Taking place across the country from September 10, the 20 day festival, run by <a href=\"http:\/\/startupaus.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">StartupAUS,<\/a> will aim to top last year\u2019s record number of 160 events.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>StartupAUS CEO Peter Bradd says he wants a range of Aussies to be involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStartup Spring is designed to encourage and inspire all young and passionate tech entrepreneurs at a grassroots level nationwide,\u201d Bradd says.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether you\u2019re an experienced entrepreneur or the average Joe that has an interest in tech, we are welcoming everyone to participate. From coding sessions and boot camps, to awards and networking drinks, Startup Spring has events that suit everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Festival events include a pitching session at Fishburners, an open day at Australia\u2019s biggest startup co-working space and Run the World Melbourne 2015 conference, feature eight female entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a way of putting startups front and centre in Australia, Bradd says.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is imperative that we celebrate and promote the tech startup community and as the festival grows every year, we are confident that tech entrepreneurialism is key to Australia\u2019s future,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A week-long virtual hackathon will also be held during Startup Spring, as well as a networking event held by Silicon Beach in Brisbane.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One of the most popular events at last year\u2019s incarnation was Learn to Code, and Coder Factory director Pete Argent says it will be returning this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s promising to see the Startup Spring initiative take root in Australia,\u201d Argent says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis festival for tech innovation is an ideal way for anyone interested in the startup industry to get involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i>Raising your <\/i><a href=\"startupschool\/events\/hacking-your-first-investment-round\/\"><i>first round of capital<\/i><\/a><i>?
