The NSW Government is calling on developers to create health-related apps as part of a newly launched competition, offering $5,000 cash prizes for the best apps in each category.<\/p>\n

The competition, titled apps4nsw \u2013 Collaborative Solutions for Health, is a joint initiative of the Department of Finance and Services, NSW Trade & Investment and NSW Health.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Robin Phua, a spokesperson from NSW Trade & Investment, the competition is a mash-up between previously held apps4nsw and Collaborative Solutions programs.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe aim is to increase the use of NSW Government data, improve service delivery and promote open government by facilitating industry collaborations to develop innovative and new-to-market solutions,\u201d Phua says.<\/p>\n

As part of the apps4nsw competition, the NSW Government has identified four challenges:<\/p>\n
