{"id":32844,"date":"2023-10-20T14:29:17","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T14:29:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/startupsmart.test\/2023\/10\/20\/the-startup-aiming-to-revolutionise-the-way-developers-and-users-interact-startupsmart\/"},"modified":"2023-10-20T14:29:17","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T14:29:17","slug":"the-startup-aiming-to-revolutionise-the-way-developers-and-users-interact-startupsmart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/uncategorized\/the-startup-aiming-to-revolutionise-the-way-developers-and-users-interact-startupsmart\/","title":{"rendered":"The startup aiming to revolutionise the way developers and users interact &#8211; StartupSmart"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"445\" height=\"352\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/l_app-bot-pic.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"l_app-bot-pic\"\/><\/div>\n<p>An Australian entrepreneur whose apps have reached millions of people has released a new product that enables greater communication between developers and customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Hall, whose previous projects include the popular 7 Minute Workout app, has launched <a href=\"https:\/\/appbot.co\/appbotx\/getstarted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AppbotX<\/a> \u2013 a platform to help provide developers with feedback, news notifications and version updates.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe launched Appbot a few years ago and it started as a review aggregation service for app developers,\u201d Hall told <i>StartupSmart<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The app has now delivered around 15 million reviews for more than 34,000 apps. Hall says the idea came to him because he came to learn how important rankings and reviews are for an app\u2019s sales.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough a bunch of my own apps I noticed a bunch of patterns about app reviews and supporting your customers better,\u201d he says. \u201cIt\u2019s a helpdesk and a communication solution for mobile apps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hall has been overseeing beta testing for a couple of months to ensure the product is right for the market, and says his team did \u201ca lot of tweaking\u201d before they felt like the platform was ready to be launched. His advice to fellow entrepreneurs is to be flexible.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGet in to people\u2019s hands as fast as you can and really engage people,\u201d he says. \u201cBe open to feedback and changing and suiting your product to what people really want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>AppbotX has launched on iOS and plans to release an Android version shortly. Hall says he also chose to use an open source development model because developers like to \u201csee what\u2019s going on under the hood\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe decided to make all our client libraries open source so they can really see what\u2019s going on and we can be completely transparent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hall has been bootstrapping the project, and says being a startup in Australia isn\u2019t easy.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s definitely hard,\u201d he says. \u201cEngage people early and try to get some key early adopters on board \u2013 people really influential in the space you\u2019re in.
