{"id":36428,"date":"2023-10-20T14:43:58","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T14:43:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/startupsmart.test\/2023\/10\/20\/uber-pursues-data-breach-with-link-to-lyft-tech-chief-startupsmart\/"},"modified":"2023-10-20T14:43:58","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T14:43:58","slug":"uber-pursues-data-breach-with-link-to-lyft-tech-chief-startupsmart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/uncategorized\/uber-pursues-data-breach-with-link-to-lyft-tech-chief-startupsmart\/","title":{"rendered":"Uber pursues data breach \u2018with link to Lyft tech chief\u2019 &#8211; StartupSmart"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"443\" height=\"352\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/l_uberdriver-2_445.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"l_uberdriver-2_445\"\/><\/div>\n<p>Uber is focusing legal efforts on learning more about an internet address linked to a data breach earlier this year that sources <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2015\/10\/08\/us-uber-tech-lyft-hacking-exclusive-idUSKCN0S20D420151008\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told Reuters<\/a> can be traced to the chief of technology at competing ride-sharing service Lyft. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/davelewis\/2015\/02\/28\/uber-suffers-data-breach-affecting-50000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In February<\/a> Uber revealed up to 50,000 of its drivers\u2019 names and licence numbers had been accessed improperly.
