&#8211; StartupSmart"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"332\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/vinomofocofounders-640x332.jpg\" alt=\"Vinomofo founders\" title=\"vinomofocofounders\"\/><\/div>\n<p>Vinomofo is knocking off the second country on its hit list for global domination with launch celebrations to commence in Singapore next month.<\/p>\n<p>After closing a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/advice\/funding\/vinomofo-secures-25-million-investment-as-it-looks-to-conquer-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">$25 million investment deal <\/a>with Blue Sky Venture Capital, Vinomofo jumped straight into its international expansion plans, starting with New Zealand in June this year.<\/p>\n<p>The next markets\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/advice\/vinomofos-secret-recipe-to-building-a-successful-startup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vinomofo <\/a>expands to\u00a0will be in the world\u2019s biggest economies.<\/p>\n<p>Vinomofo Asia Holdings has been set up in Singapore to\u00a0build the company&#8217;s foothold in the Asian region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSingapore is a great wine market, quite mature, not huge, but a really good wine audience and great food scene over there,\u201d Vinomofo co-founder Andre Eikmeier tells <em>StartupSmart.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSingapore is a really international market in terms of its wine preferences, it\u2019s a good market for us to get used to not having an Australian or New Zealand wine bias.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With containers of wine on their way to Asia now, Eikmeier says the buzz for Vinomofo has already started.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s spread like wildfire,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>Alcohol research group Candean has named Asia one of the fastest growing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arena-international.com\/alcoholasia\/statistics-on-alcohol-market-in-asia\/5640.article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">markets for alcohol sales <\/a>with China and India driving this growth.<\/p>\n<p>Before choosing Singapore, Eikmeier says the Vinomofo team also investigated China and Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>But they decided on Singapore because of its healthy market of ex-pats, and because it has the most compatible delivery, licensing and corporate structure requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSingapore was looking like the most doable,\u201d Eikmeier says.<\/p>\n<p>Ekimeier says Vinomofo has also commenced investigations into US markets, including coastal states and Texas, with plans to launch in North America next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTexas is a big wine market but it operates on a different licensing regulation;
