Most of the startups midway through the Muru-d program pitched to a room of investors at the Telstra-backed accelerator\u2019s first investor day.<\/p>\n

The selected companies accepted a place in the six-month accelerator program and $40,000 in exchange for 6% equity.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Nine of the 10 companies pitched. Accelerator director Ann Parker told StartupSmart<\/i> the tenth startup, online platform for casual teacher coordination Class Cover, pulled out of the program but there were no hard feelings.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe love those guys and we\u2019re rooting for them still,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
