{"id":45623,"date":"2023-10-20T15:45:10","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T15:45:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/startupsmart.test\/2023\/10\/20\/the-three-words-the-worlds-most-successful-investor-wants-you-to-write-on-your-mirror-startupsmart\/"},"modified":"2023-10-20T15:45:10","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T15:45:10","slug":"the-three-words-the-worlds-most-successful-investor-wants-you-to-write-on-your-mirror-startupsmart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/uncategorized\/the-three-words-the-worlds-most-successful-investor-wants-you-to-write-on-your-mirror-startupsmart\/","title":{"rendered":"The three words the world&#8217;s most successful investor wants you to write on your mirror &#8211; StartupSmart"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"332\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/warren-buffett-640x332.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"warren buffett\"><\/div>\n<p>Before a room full of ambitious small business entrepreneurs, the world\u2019s most successful investor Warren Buffett shared an important piece of advice and it\u2019s a tip that could score you a free sales force.<\/p>\n<p>Buffet was speaking to the newest graduates of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, which has seen more than 6000 entrepreneurs walk through its doors, according to Business Insider.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTomorrow morning when you look in the mirror after you\u2019ve gotten up, just write \u2013 in lipstick or whatever you want, on the mirror \u2013 just put: Delight my customer,\u201d Buffett said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot satisfy my customer, delight my customer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on his own experience of building multinational conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway, Buffet explained how creating memorable experiences with customers surpasses the value of the product purchased.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhenever I bought my last car \u2013 a few years ago \u2013 I don\u2019t remember how much I paid, but I remember the experience I had,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Berkshire Hathaway generates over US$200 billion ($268 billion) in revenue and employs more than 330,000 employees.<\/p>\n<p>It also owns the likes of fast food giant Dairy Queen and Helzberg Diamonds, which has a corporate responsibility policy to support environmentally friendly mining, human rights and prevents conflict diamonds.<\/p>\n<p>Buffet\u2019s journey from the owner of a small business to corporate empire has been five decades in the making.<\/p>\n<p>Through it all, he says making every point of contact with customers so memorable that they go out and tell anyone they know is one of the biggest keys to success.
