{"id":45785,"date":"2023-10-20T15:46:23","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T15:46:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/startupsmart.test\/2023\/10\/20\/facebook-named-worlds-most-empathetic-company-in-global-empathy-index-startupsmart\/"},"modified":"2023-10-20T15:46:23","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T15:46:23","slug":"facebook-named-worlds-most-empathetic-company-in-global-empathy-index-startupsmart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/uncategorized\/facebook-named-worlds-most-empathetic-company-in-global-empathy-index-startupsmart\/","title":{"rendered":"Facebook named world&#8217;s most empathetic company in Global Empathy Index &#8211; StartupSmart"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"332\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/facebook-640x332.jpg\" alt=\"Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg\" title=\"facebook\"><\/div>\n<p>Facebook has been ranked the most empathetic company in the world in a study published by <em>Harvard Business Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The Global Empathy Index analyses companies around the world but a majority are from the US, UK and India.<\/p>\n<p>The annual study, which scores companies based on their ethics, leadership, internal culture, brand perception and social media messaging, aims to spotlight businesses that are \u201csuccessfully creating empathetic cultures\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese are the companies that retain the best people, create environments where diverse teams thrive, and ultimately reap the greatest financial rewards,\u201d says author-activist Belinda Parmar in <em>Harvard Business Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Based on these characteristics, The Global Empathy Index puts 20 companies on a \u201cmost empathetic\u201d list and 20 on a \u201cleast empathetic\u201d one.<\/p>\n<p>Tech companies came out on the top of the most empathetic list while companies in the oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and finance sectors ranked highly on the &#8220;least empathetic&#8221; list.<\/p>\n<p>Following Facebook, which got a score of 100, is Alphabet, the public holding company founded by Google\u2019s brainchildren Larry Page and Sergey Brin.<\/p>\n<p>Alphabet was scored at 99.4, followed by LinkedIn at 98.8.<\/p>\n<p>The least empathetic companies, according to the study, are Bharat Petroleum with a score of zero, followed by Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries, which scored 0.6, and ICICI Bank with a score of 1.2.<\/p>\n<p>Read the full report here.<\/p>\n<p><em>Follow StartupSmart on<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Facebook,<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Twitter,&nbsp;LinkedIn&nbsp;and iTunes.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Facebook has been ranked the most empathetic company in the world in a study published by Harvard Business Review.
