{"id":45948,"date":"2023-10-20T15:47:26","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T15:47:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/startupsmart.test\/2023\/10\/20\/cab-savvy-uncorking-the-next-big-thing-in-wine-startupsmart\/"},"modified":"2023-10-20T15:47:26","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T15:47:26","slug":"cab-savvy-uncorking-the-next-big-thing-in-wine-startupsmart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/uncategorized\/cab-savvy-uncorking-the-next-big-thing-in-wine-startupsmart\/","title":{"rendered":"Cab savvy: Uncorking the next big thing in wine &#8211; StartupSmart"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"445\" height=\"352\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/l_wine-445.jpg\" alt=\"Wine glasses\" title=\"l_wine-445\"><\/div>\n<p>A new innovation competition is on the hunt for Australian and New Zealand startups and entrepreneurs who can disrupt one of the world\u2019s oldest and most popular industries.<\/p>\n<p>The Winexplorer competition is open to savvy entrepreneurs with an idea that could disrupt the way wine industry works.<\/p>\n<p>Brancott Estate Wines have teamed up with BlueChilli to launch the challenge which is offering a $35,000 cash price and the chance to be offered a spot in the BlueChilli accelerator program to commercialise the product.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are looking to change the wine world by identifying ideas that will fundamentally change the way people enjoy wine,\u201d Brancott Estate chief winemaker Patrick Materman says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether it\u2019s an idea about how people choose what wine to drink, or how they share that wine with their friends, if it\u2019s big, bold and revolutionary, then we want to hear it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Applications opened on Thursday, from which BlueChilli will select five finalists.
