Google is set to unveil several major product upgrades this week, just one month after the tech giant announced its new operating structure<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n With Apple revealing the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus earlier this month, it\u2019s now Google\u2019s turn to take the stage and entice consumers with the latest gadgets.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Rumours of have been swirling for months about the latest Android phones and Chromecast upgrade \u2013 essentially Google\u2019s version of Apple TV.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Australians will have to wake up early on Wednesday morning in order to hear the news straight away.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n With that in mind, here are three things you can expect from Google\u2019s big announcement.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n Probably the most exciting thing about the iPhone 6s was its 12-megapixel camera \u2013 a massive upgrade from the previous version\u2019s eight megapixels.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n If we know one thing about Android, it\u2019s that it doesn\u2019t want to be left behind.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Because of this, the new Android smartphones will also likely boast a more powerful front and back camera in order to snap the perfect selfie.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n The Nexus 6P is rumoured to have a 12.3 megapixel rear camera, according to 9to5Google<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n It also appears that bigger smartphones are here to stay, with the Nexus 6P expected to be 5.7 inches in length.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n The Android operating system is the most commonly used OS on the planet, so we can expect to see Google announce some minor improvements to the platform later this week.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Android 6.0 \u2013 or Marshmallow, as it is also known \u2013 shouldn\u2019t contain too many surprises for Android users.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n As the saying goes, don\u2019t fix something that ain\u2019t broke.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n However, we can expect the new operating system to have enhanced battery management and an improved app permissions system, according to The Verge<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n Huge updates to Google\u2019s media streaming service are on the way.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n After all, Apple TV got a much-needed facelift earlier this month \u2013 the first significant upgrade in three years.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n The way people consume television has changed dramatically, even in the past 12 months.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n According to internal documents obtained by 9to5Google<\/a>, the second generation Chromecast will have improved Wi-Fi features and will have a new function called \u201cfast play\u201d which will enable people to stream the content they like more easily.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Expect Chromecast to be snapping at Apple TV\u2019s heels.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\nThe new Android phones will have a much more powerful camera<\/strong><\/h2>\n
