The new Android phones will have a much more powerful camera
Probably the most exciting thing about the iPhone 6s was its 12-megapixel camera – a massive upgrade from the previous version’s eight megapixels.
If we know one thing about Android, it’s that it doesn’t want to be left behind.
Because of this, the new Android smartphones will also likely boast a more powerful front and back camera in order to snap the perfect selfie.
The Nexus 6P is rumoured to have a 12.3 megapixel rear camera, according to 9to5Google.
It also appears that bigger smartphones are here to stay, with the Nexus 6P expected to be 5.7 inches in length.
Android’s new operating system will be launched
The Android operating system is the most commonly used OS on the planet, so we can expect to see Google announce some minor improvements to the platform later this week.
Android 6.0 – or Marshmallow, as it is also known – shouldn’t contain too many surprises for Android users.
As the saying goes, don’t fix something that ain’t broke.
However, we can expect the new operating system to have enhanced battery management and an improved app permissions system, according to The Verge.
Chromecast will get a much-needed upgrade
Huge updates to Google’s media streaming service are on the way.
After all, Apple TV got a much-needed facelift earlier this month – the first significant upgrade in three years.
The way people consume television has changed dramatically, even in the past 12 months.
According to internal documents obtained by 9to5Google, the second generation Chromecast will have improved Wi-Fi features and will have a new function called “fast play” which will enable people to stream the content they like more easily.
Expect Chromecast to be snapping at Apple TV’s heels.
