BRS is an advisory firm that provides solutions to the infrastructure, government and resources industries, and assists them to achieve the desired outcome.

“In simple terms, we help our clients secure and set up projects for success, improve performance, save money, manage risk and develop people,” Nicole Williams says.

More specifically, BRS delivers solutions across a number of service lines including project governance, commercial and procurement, and organisation and process improvement.

“There are many consulting firms that offer a variety of specialist services within infrastructure, government and resources across Australia and New Zealand,” Williams says.

“However, they are often specialists in a narrow field. This can limit their capacity and ability to deliver solutions and advise across all aspects of an organisation or project, requiring clients to engage a variety of consultants to get the job done.

“BRS is one of the few, if not the only firm, able to successfully connect commercial and culture or people and task.

“BRS provides clients with a seamless approach to consultancy by working side by side with clients to deliver solutions to all areas of their business. This in turn creates great trust and deep understanding to drive future work.”

Williams says the biggest obstacle BRS had to overcome was building a relationship with its bank and obtaining enough funding to continue the aggressive pursuit of its strategic objectives.

“Never rely on a bank to fund your business. We run a very lean business model and have very stringent cashflow measures, and we do this well,” Williams says.

“Going forward, our forecast is to remain cashflow positive and use BRS as a platform to pursue other entrepreneurial ventures.”
